Skewered Fish
Skewered fish is a delicious and easy way to grill fish and it can be served as a main dish or as an appetizer. Here's a recipe for skewered fish:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of firm white fish (such as cod, halibut, or sea bass) cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes before using)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Add the fish cubes to the marinade, making sure that each cube is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
- Thread the fish cubes onto skewers.
- Grill the fish skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and the fish is opaque.
- Serve with a squeeze of lemon juice on top.
Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a salad.
Note: Be careful not to over-cook the fish or it will become dry and less flavorful.
